Awesome Glory

The crowd gathers and waits for you.
You black out the place as black as night.
They stand in silence, waiting.

Each heart has your attention,
Each beat is painful.
Each soul cries out with heavyness.
Each thought is a prayer getting louder and louder.

And then softness
And then tears
And then sudden laughter and joy

Without warning, your soft, strong presence sets.
But your glory, oh your glory!
Every color of the rainbow, every shine and ray of the sun,
Every fire blazing wildly, oh, there's not enough words, not enough.
Your light consumes the darkness in the room and soul
Nature shouts your triumph and victory so loud
that all the universe freezes, humbles, and bows at your feet.

No longer silent, no longer waiting
No longer heavy, but light and flying.
They sing and dance to the rhythm of praises only for you.

"Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord."
